There are many skin lightening creama that are safe as long as they are used as directed on the packaging, such as the Pharmaclinix range.

What are the possible health effects of using illegal skin lightening creams?
  • Mercury is poisonous and can cause damage to the kidneys, skin, brain, central nervous system and the digestive system. Mercury accumulates in the kidneys and can effect their function. Thanks for this insightful post. I am currently using a whitening cream called NeuCell skin lightener and it’s good to know that it does not contain hydroquinone, mercury, and steroids. When purchasing skin whitening creams, it is vital that you check the label in order to know the ingredients that the product contain. I just hope that those whitening creams that contain harmful ingredients will be banned, so that they will not be used by consumers who would just like to have fairer skin.
