How does ViruLite work?
ViruLite is a new therapeutic technology developed by researchers who found a particular narrow waveband of light effects cold sore healing times. I have used one of theses devices for years, the first hint of a sore and I apply it. I vave never had a sore even develope after 1 application, and I have suffered quite a lot for many years. So now that I feel a sore starting and my device appears to have finally expired (way beyond it's predicted lifespan), I am lost and very disappointed I fear I am going to suffer for the first time in many years. In my experience just using it once on a sore has allways been enough, and usually from the initiial hint of having one, I can almost be sure that nothing will develop, and any feeling of a sore will be gone within 3 to 4 days, which beats the pain, discomfort, split and bleeding lips that I used to get, and the 2 plus weeks that it would take to clear.
Virulite machine
The machine does help heal sores more quickly and helps prevent them coming through. However - I have had two now and both have stopped working properly after a few months. I have put new batteries in but to no avail. The green light stops flashing after 10 or so seconds instead of the time it is supposed to work for. Battery also fiddly to replace.

I have suffered from cold sores ever since I can remember and always used cold sore cream. Using cream, the scab on the cold sore would come off in about 5 days or so but the red marks it left would be visiible for up to 2 weeks. I bought the machine after my last outbreak and have been waiting to use it since then. I woke up on Monday and a cold sore had developed, but at this stage it hadn't properly formed or blistered. I immediately used the machine, and again in the evening and I'm pleased to say the cold sore didn't get any bigger and hasn't really blistered as such. It's Wednesday today and there is only a tiny scab and a small amount of redness, and by the weekend I reckon it will be completely healed! Yet to try it at the 'tingling' phase to see if it never appears at all, as I didn't catch it in time, but it has vastly reduced the healing time and the cold sore didn't develop any further once I used the machine on it. I'd say it's definately worth a try!

I have had a Virulite CS for around 5 years now and I came across this site as I want another to keep at a different location. Why not take it with you? I hear you ask... well I have been known to forget or leave it at our caravan and believe me, as a long time sufferer of cold sores, once you have had one, you will not want to be without it!! Fantastic! I use mine in conjunction with Zovirax. Use the CS straight away, then morning and night for a couple of days so it doesn't sneak back!!

I am amazed... I have ben plagued with coldsores since I can remember. And recently ( for the last 2-3 years) I have been getting them so frequently ( fortnightly) it was really getting me down. Although taking vitamins helped stave off attacks I was still getting them at least monthly and even when I caught them really quickly and put "Compeed" patches on them they would still hang around and look really ugly for about two weeks. I got so fed up I did some research & invested in a "virulite". I was so cynical about it working - but holy moly!! It worked! I had a sore appear one morning this week- I used the virulite machine ( for this first time) for the recommended 3 minutes - I must admit I used it about 3 times the first day just to be sure, to be sure!! I was so convinced it would not work as you can't feel it working. Then.... It didn't get any worse, then by the end of the day it had started to heal. By now ( day 3) its bearly detectable! Under normal circumstances half my lip would be infected by now! I am so chuffed. Best bit is, its under guarantee to work. I wholly recommend it. Sorry for gushing - but its only because its the first remedy I have found that actually works!!

i was very dubious when the wife bought this, but the results are amazing! it really seems to do what i says it can! Great product at a great price!
