Ferrous Sulphate Tablets 200mg - 60 Tablets

Ferrous Sulphate Tablets are iron supplements that are used for the prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia.

 Ferrous Sulphate Tablets based on iron an essential mineral. It is part of haemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying component of the blood. Iron- deficient people tire easily in part because their bodies are starved for oxygen. Iron is also part of myoglobin, which helps muscle cells store oxygen. Without enough iron, adenosine triphosphate (ATP; the fuel the body runs on) cannot be properly synthesized. As a result, some iron-deficient people become fatigued even when their haemoglobin levels are normal (i.e., when they are not anaemic). Iron deficiency is most common in pregnant women, young women during their reproductive years, and children.

How to use Ferrous Sulphate:

Adults: Take 2-3 tablets daily in divided doses. 
For prevention of anaemia: Take one tablet daily. 
 

Children aged 6-12 years: Give two tablets daily in divided doses.

Ferrous Sulphate Tablets contain the following ingredients:

• Each tablet contains the active ingredient: Ferrous sulphate 200mg.
• Other ingredients: Spray dried liquid glucose, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose (101) (E460), lactose granules containing lactose, maize starch, pregelatinised maize starch and water. The coating contains: kaolin, purified talc (E553), acacia (E414), gelatin, sucrose, purified water, calcium carbonate (E170), titanium dioxide (E171) and beeswax. The tablets may also contain yellow carnauba wax, polysorbate and sorbic acid (E200). The printing ink contains: shellac (E904), iron oxide black (E172), soya lecithin MC thin (E322) and antifoam DC.

 Ferrous sulphate tablets should not be taken within one hour or two hours after eating or drinking the following products; tea, coffee, milk, eggs, and whole grain. These products can reduce the absorption of iron.
