What is Rhinolast Allergy?

Rhinolast Allergy is indicated for the immediate relief of the symptoms of intermittent allergic rhinitis (hayfever).

What does it contain?

It contains the antihistamine azelastine hydrochloride 0.14mg per spray.

How does azelastine work?

Being a topical antihistamine, azelastine works by blocking the histamine receptor and tackling inflammation. In this way, it reduces nasal discharge, itching and sneeze. And, being a mast cell stabiliser, it is also effective at reducing congestion.

What does the research say?

A clinical study comparing azelastine with oral cetirazine found azelastine to be superior when it comes to improving nasal congestion, sneezing and quality of life². Another study found azelastine to be as effective as fluticasone when used individually'.

How fast does it work?

Rhinolast Allergy can get to work within 15 minutes.

Who can use Rhinolast Allergy?

It can be used in adults and children aged five years and over.

What's the dosage?

Dosage instructions are one spray in each nostril twice daily.

How long can it be used for?

Rhinolast Allergy should not be used continuously for longer than four weeks without consulting a doctor.

Is there anyone who can't use it?

Anyone with a proven allergy against azelastine should not use Rhinolast Allergy and, as with all medicines, caution should be exercised by women who are pregnant or breast feeding.
