Information Updated 4/2/2021
Please visit https://www.royalmail.com/services-near-you for the latest information regarding deliveries in your area
With the current outbreak of Coronavirus we understand that you are probably trying to carry on as normal. We are aware that we play a massive role in making sure you have medication delivered to you.
Please note that there may be delays with Royal Mail due to staff shortages across the UK. The latest statement from Royal Mail can be found below:
"Deliveries and collections are taking place across most of the UK today, though some disruption may be experienced in areas affected by snow and ice. We’re out delivering and collecting wherever it’s safe and possible to do so. Additionally, deliveries may also be disrupted in some areas due to resourcing issues in a number of our delivery offices. Please see the 'Royal Mail Deliveries' section below. We’re working hard to deliver as comprehensive a service as possible to all our customers during these challenging times.
Every single parcel and letter is important to us. Despite our best efforts and significant investment in extra resource, some customers may experience slightly longer delivery timescales than our usual service standards. This is due to the exceptionally high volumes of mail posted during this further lockdown period, alongside necessary coronavirus-related measures we have put in place in local mail centres and delivery offices to keep our people and customers safe. In such cases, we always work hard to get back to providing our usual level of service as quickly as we can.
Thank you for your patience and understanding."
Any delays with Royal Mail is unfortunately outside of our control however we are working to expedite orders to minimise any possibile wait times caused by Royal Mail in your area and across the UK
Latest from our Management Team....................
Dear Valued Customer,
Please accept our apologies on this occasion as your order is more than likely to be delayed for the following reasons:-
- COVID-19 has caused a huge spike in the number of orders being placed online
- Staffing levels across the board have been affected due to the current COVID-19 situation
- Extra safety measures have been put in place throughout the business, ensuring staff are fully equipped with PPE along with 2 meter social distancing
- Our courier services are encountering high volumes of backlogged orders, again due to the current situation of COVID-19
Please be rest assured we are working around the clock to meet the demand in this hard and stressful time.
We truly appreciate your business and patience in these unprecedented times.
Kind Regards and Stay Alert
We are continuing to receive an unprecedented amount of orders and we are constantly working to process all orders as soon as possible. There are currently delays of upto 1 - 2 working days to process orders. We urge all customers to only order what they need so this can give a chance for all other customers to buy the medication they need.
We are constantly working with all of our suppliers to restock as soon as possible however due to unprecedented demand for medicines there can be delays with certain medication. Any medication that is delayed, will be marked as “to follow” on your order. If the medication is unavailable due to unprecedented demand, this item will be refunded and the remainder of the order will be sent.
There are currently delays with the postal system and Royal Mail have advised the following delivery times for the following methods of postage:
2nd class post: 3 - 5 working days
1st class post: 1 - 3 working days
Special Next Day Delivery by 1pm: Delivered the next day from the point of leaving our premises*
Please note that the above delivery times are estimates and parcels may take longer to arrive if there is service disruption in your area. Unfortunately this is beyond our control and Royal Mail are working to deliver all post as quickly and safely as possible.
*Special next day delivery only applies from when the order is dispatched and will be delivered the next working day from dispatch. Please note that orders can take 1-3 working days to process and will be delivered the next working day from when your order has left our premises.
We have been contacted by our area manager for Royal Mail informing us of any steps taken by them to ensure that your orders are delivered contactless. Unfortunately there are also delays with the entire postal system and special measures have been put in place to prioritise 1st class and Signed for postage. We understand that this can be frustrating however this is outside of our control and Royal Mail are constantly updating their website for any further information. More information in regards to service updates can be found here: www.royalmail.com/serviceupdates and information regarding the steps they have taken so far regarding the Coronavirus can be found here: www.royalmail.com/coronavirus
To help better protect our staff, we will be quarantining all returns for a maximum of 14 days. After such period of time your return will be processed and will be refunded.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our Pharmacy First team for all their work during these uncertain times and I would also like to thank all of our customers for their patience whilst we process your orders as quickly and safely as possible.
We will be continuing to monitor the Government website and the NHS for any further updates and provide updates where necessary to you.
