What is Anusol cream?

Ansuol is a cream that is designed to provide soothing relief from the discomfort of internal and external piles (haemorrhoids,) fissures and anal itching. This product contains active ingredients that soothe itching, shrink piles and prevent bacterial growth which can promote healing. This product contains the following active ingredients:

• Zinc Oxide - this ingredient is an astringent which soothes and protects raw areas. This ingredient also helps to reduce swelling and acts as a antiseptic.
• Balsam Peru - this ingredient is also a mild antiseptic, has healing and protective qualities for sore areas.
• Bismuth Oxide - this ingredient is also an astringent and antiseptic therefore, helps to protect raw irritated areas around the anal area.

Anusol cream has a vanishing base formulation which is rapidly absorbed and avoids staining underwear. Anusol cream may be used as a lubricant when using suppositories also.

Who can use Anusol cream?

This product is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or breast feeding please only use this medicine on the advice and supervision of your doctor. Adults and elderly can use this product following the below directions for the most effective results.

Directions for use:

You should always read the patient information leaflet enclosed within the product packaging before using any new medicine. This product is for topical use only. This means the product should only be applied to the affected area. Apply to the affected area at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement. For internal conditions use the rectal nozzle provided, remove the nozzle cap and clean the nozzle after each use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25 degrees.
