Online Consultation Service

Third Party Doctor

As part of our Online Consultation Service, we work with a third party doctor who is responsible for the prescriptions that are required for the prescription medication. As part of the online consultation and checkout process you will need to agree for us to share your details with the doctor so that they have enough information to safely prescribe the medication you need.

Our doctor is based in the European Union, rather than the UK. However this does not affect the way in which you receive your medication. Based in the Czech Republic, our doctor is in a country that is part of the European Economic Area (EEA). This means that prescriptions issued by registered practitioners in those countries are legally recognised in the UK. The prescriptions given meet the requirements set out in our Practice Guides.

Although not based in the UK, our doctor works to UK prescribing guidelines, and the prescription and medication prescribed is checked by one of our experienced pharmacists in the UK. This ensures you receive a high quality of care.

Prescribing Process

Our doctor looks at the answer you provide during your online consultation, and uses this to make a judgement on whether you can be prescribed the medication. In some cases you may be asked some additional questions, this is just to ensure that the doctor has enough information to prescribe you medication safely. With this information, the doctor makes an assessment and decides whether or not to prescribe you the medication. Throughout this process he follows UK Prescribing Guidelines to ensure you get the best care possible. These guidelines are available to view on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence website. The doctor and our team use this alongside other prescribing tools to ensure the correct procedures are followed. To ensure this, our pharmacist checks the prescription to ensure it is inline with UK Guidelines, so you can be sure the medication you receive is the best treatment for you.
