Otex Olive Oil Ear Spray is a convenient earwax-softening treatment containing medical-grade virgin olive oil. It helps soften and loosen hardened wax within the ear canal, allowing it to clear more easily and potentially reducing the need for ear syringing or other professional wax-removal procedures.
The easy-to-use spray pump delivers a controlled application without the need for a dropper. It is suitable for adults, older people and children who have been diagnosed with hardened earwax. A doctor should be consulted before use in children under 5 years of age.

Dosage and Directions
Use only in the ears. Before using a new bottle, hold it upright and press the
spray actuator towards a tissue until a spray is produced. This primes the pump.
- Hold the bottle upright.
- Place the nozzle at the entrance of the affected ear canal.
- Press the actuator fully to administer one spray.
- Do not push the nozzle forcefully into the ear.
- Tilt the head for 1–2 minutes to allow the oil to flow into the ear canal.
- Leave for a few minutes, then wipe away any excess with a tissue.
- Repeat in the other ear when required.
- Wash your hands after use.
Apply one spray to the affected ear once or twice daily for up to 14 days,
or until hearing and discomfort improve. Do not plug the ear with cotton wool.
Seek advice from a doctor, nurse or pharmacist if symptoms persist after
14 days or become worse.
Warnings and Precautions
Do not use Otex Olive Oil Ear Spray:
- If you are allergic to olive oil.

If you have a history of ear problems, unless advised and supervised by a
doctor, nurse or pharmacist. - If you are using other ear drops, ear medicines or a hearing aid.
- If your eardrum is damaged or has previously been perforated.
- If you suffer from dizziness.
- If you have ear pain, swelling, discharge, infection, bleeding or tinnitus.

If you have recently tried to remove wax using cotton buds, fingernails or
another implement. - If the ear has been syringed within the previous 2–3 days.
Avoid contact with the eyes. In the event of accidental contact, rinse the eye
immediately with water for 10–15 minutes. Seek medical advice if irritation
continues.
Earwax symptoms may temporarily worsen as the wax softens and expands. Stop
using the product and seek medical advice if you experience severe pain,
irritation, dizziness, worsening hearing, tinnitus, an unpleasant taste or
any other concerning side effect.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Store upright in the original
carton between 10°C and 25°C. Do not use after the stated expiry date and
discard the bottle 4 weeks after first opening.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Otex Olive Oil Ear Spray may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use when unsure.
