Celluvisc 0.5% is a preservative-free, single-dose lubricating eye drop designed to relieve the symptoms of dry, irritated or tired eyes. Description
Celluvisc contains carmellose sodium 5 mg/ml, a well-known lubricant that forms a protective, moisturising layer over the eye. This helps reduce burning, grittiness, and the “foreign body” sensation commonly associated with dry eye. The unit-dose vials are preservative-free, making them suitable for people with sensitive eyes or those using drops long-term.
This pack contains 30 x 0.4 ml single-dose vials. Each vial is intended for one-time use only.

Uses
For the temporary relief of burning, irritation, discomfort or dryness of the eye due to environmental factors (wind, sun, heating/air conditioning, screen use), after minor eye procedures, or in mild-to-moderate dry eye.

Dosage / How to Use
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Twist off the cap of one single-dose vial.
- Tip your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
- Hold the vial just above the eye and squeeze 1–2 drops into the eye as needed.
- Blink several times to spread the drop evenly.
- Repeat in the other eye if required.
Typical use: 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s), up to several times daily, or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or eye care professional.
Single-use only: discard any remaining solution immediately after first opening.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: carmellose sodium 5 mg/ml w/v.
Other ingredients: May include sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, purified water, and pH adjusters (exact excipients may vary see patient info leaflet for full list).
Warnings and Precautions
- For ocular use only. Do not inject or swallow.
- Do not use if the vial is damaged or if the solution is cloudy or discoloured.
- Do not reuse an opened vial. Once opened, use immediately and discard the remainder to avoid contamination.
- If you experience persistent eye pain, changes in vision, redness or irritation that worsens or lasts more than 72 hours, stop using and consult a healthcare professional.
- If you are using other eye medications, leave a gap of at least 5–15 minutes between products (use Celluvisc last if advised, as it is more viscous).
- To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the vial to the eye or any surface.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under specialist eye care, seek advice before use.
Contact Lenses
Some people use Celluvisc with contact lenses; however, due to its thicker consistency, it is often recommended to apply after removing lenses. Follow the advice of your optometrist or product leaflet.
Storage
- Store below 25°C (or as stated on the carton).
- Protect from freezing.
- Keep vials in the original packaging to protect from light.
