Description

Algesal is a local analgesic cream formulated to relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. The active ingredient, diethylamine salicylate (a salicylate), is massaged into the skin over the painful area to provide targeted relief.

How it works

Diethylamine salicylate is related to salicylic acid (in the aspirin family). When rubbed into the skin, it helps ease pain in superficial soft tissues and joints.

Dosage & Directions

Adults, the elderly & children over 6 years: Apply a small amount to the affected area and massage until fully absorbed, 3 times daily.
Children under 6 years: Not recommended.
Wash hands thoroughly after each application.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, broken/irritated skin, and sensitive areas.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days, seek medical advice.

How to apply

Squeeze a small amount onto clean, dry skin over the painful area.
Massage gently until the cream is fully absorbed.
Repeat up to three times daily as needed.

Ingredients

Algesal cream’s active ingredient is diethylamine salicylate (10% w/w), which provides pain relief and reduces inflammation. The cream also contains other ingredients, including ethylene glycol stearate, glycerol monostearate, stearic acid, triethanolamine, petrolatum, light liquid paraffin, microcrystalline wax, lavandin composition, and purified water.
