Dymista Control is a dual-action intranasal spray combining an antihistamine and a corticosteroid to help relieve symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itchy or runny nose, and nasal congestion.
Active ingredients (per spray): azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate. Note: Many packs are labeled as 137 micrograms azelastine / 50 micrograms (0.05 mg) fluticasone per spray. Check your pack for the exact strength and labeling.

Directions & Dosage
Before First Use
- Prime the spray as directed in the pack leaflet until a fine mist appears.
- Blow your nose gently before spraying.
Recommended Dosage
- Adults (18+ years): 1 spray in each nostril twice daily (morning and evening), or as directed by your healthcare professional.
- Children (Under 18 years): Not recommended
How to Use
- Shake the bottle gently.
- Tilt head slightly forward. Insert the nozzle into one nostril while closing the other.
- Spray while gently breathing in. Repeat in the other nostril.
- Wipe the nozzle and replace the cap.
Consistency matters: For best results, use regularly during allergy seasons or as prescribed. If a dose is missed, use it when you remember, but do not double the next dose.
Warnings & Precautions
- Medical advice: Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have recent nasal surgery, ulcers, frequent nosebleeds, severe infection, or tuberculosis.
- Eye conditions: Prolonged corticosteroid use may be associated with glaucoma or cataracts. Seek advice if you have vision changes or a history of these conditions.
- Immune considerations: May reduce resistance to infection. Avoid close contact with people who have chickenpox or measles; seek medical advice if exposed.
- Interactions: Tell your doctor/pharmacist about all medicines you take. Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, cobicistat, ketoconazole) can increase steroid effects.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Use only if the expected benefit justifies potential risks. Ask your healthcare professional for guidance.
- Do not use if you are allergic to azelastine, fluticasone, or any of the excipients listed on the pack.
- Side effects: Commonly include bitter taste, nasal irritation, headache, and nosebleeds. Stop use and seek medical help if you experience severe nosebleeds, persistent irritation, facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or signs of infection.
Not for immediate relief of asthma, wheezing, or acute breathing problems.
Storage & Handling
- Store below the temperature indicated on the pack, away from direct heat and sunlight.
- Keep the cap on; clean the nozzle regularly as per leaflet instructions.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Discard after the recommended number of sprays or by the expiry date, whichever comes first.
