Dosage & Directions for Use

Adults and children 12 years and over:

• Take 1 tablet (180mg) once daily.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Take before a meal for best absorption.

Do not:

• Exceed the stated dose.
• Give to children under 12 years unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Elderly or those with kidney/liver problems: consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. A different dose or monitoring may be needed.

Warnings & Precautions

• Do not take Histahive if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the tablet ingredients.
• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you:
  • Have kidney or liver problems
  • Have heart problems
  • Are elderly
  • Have ever had an allergic reaction to another antihistamine
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, seek medical advice before use.
• Driving and using machines: Fexofenadine is generally non-drowsy, but in rare cases it may cause dizziness or tiredness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
• Other medicines: Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium may reduce absorption of fexofenadine. Take them at least 2 hours before or after Histahive.

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, Histahive can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Possible side effects include:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Sleepiness or tiredness (uncommon)

Stop taking and seek medical help immediately if you notice signs of a serious allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, or severe rash.

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep in the original package to protect from moisture.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
