How It Works

Malathion is an antiparasitic agent that targets lice. When applied correctly to all affected areas and left on for the recommended time, it helps eradicate live lice and assists in loosening eggs for removal during wet-combing.

Directions & Dosage

Important: Always read the carton and package leaflet before use. Use only as directed.
Treat all household members found to have live lice on the same day.

For Head Lice

Start with dry hair. Place a towel around the shoulders.
Apply enough liquid to the scalp and entire length of hair to ensure complete saturation. The amount needed depends on hair length and thickness.
Work through the hair, paying special attention to the nape of the neck and behind the ears.
Leave on for 12 hours or overnight (as per leaflet), then shampoo out and rinse thoroughly.
While hair is damp, use a fine-toothed nit comb section by section to remove dead lice and eggs.
Repeat the full treatment after 7 days to kill any newly hatched lice.

Usual Age Guidance

Adults and children: typically suitable from 6 months+. For infants under 6 months, seek medical advice.
Pregnant or breastfeeding: ask a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Active: Malathion 0.5% w/w (pediculicide).

Warnings & Precautions

Ensure hair is completely dry before using hairdryers, straighteners, or styling tools.
To help prevent reinfestation: wash bedding, hats, scarves, and hairbrushes; vacuum soft furnishings; and check close contacts.
