Overview

Cuprofen Maximum Strength 400mg tablets contain ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves pain, reduces inflammation and lowers fever. They are suitable for short-term relief of headaches, migraine, period pain, dental pain, muscular pain, backache, rheumatic pain, and symptoms of cold & flu.

Each tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.
Helps relieve pain and reduce swelling and fever.
For adults and adolescents 12 years and over.

Dosage

Adults, the elderly & children 12 years and over:

Take 1 tablet (400 mg) with water, preferably with or after food.
If needed, you may take 1 tablet every 4–6 hours.
Do not exceed 3 tablets (1200 mg) in 24 hours unless advised by a doctor.

Children under 12 years: Not recommended.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If pain persists for more than 10 days (or fever for more than 3 days), consult a healthcare professional.

Warnings & Precautions

Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if you’ve had asthma, wheezing, nasal polyps, swelling, hives after taking them.
Do not use if you have (or have had) a stomach/duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe heart failure, severe kidney or liver disease.
Do not use in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Seek advice if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have asthma, high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, a history of stroke, or if you smoke.
Consult your doctor before use if you are taking any other medicines, especially anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), antiplatelets (e.g., low-dose aspirin), SSRIs, corticosteroids, blood-pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors, ARBs, diuretics), lithium, methotrexate, or other NSAIDs.
Stop use and seek medical advice if you develop black stools, vomiting blood, severe indigestion, chest pain, sudden weakness, slurred speech, shortness of breath, facial swelling, or a severe skin rash.
Avoid alcohol while taking NSAIDs as it may increase the risk of stomach side effects.
May cause dizziness—if affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
