Good to know
- Water & bathing: Keep the plaster dry for best adhesion. Replace with a fresh plaster if it becomes loose or wet.
- Driving & machinery: Unlikely to affect ability, but if you feel unwell, do not drive or operate machinery.
How to apply
- Clean and dry the affected area (no lotions/creams). If needed, trim excess hair for better adhesion (do not shave immediately before use).
- Open the sachet, remove the plaster, and peel off the protective film.
- Apply the adhesive side directly over the painful area. Smooth down edges for full contact.
- Wash hands after application.
- To remove: lift an edge gently and peel away slowly. If residue remains, cleanse with warm water and mild soap.
Plasters are single-use. Do not cut the plaster unless the leaflet explicitly allows it.
Dosage
- Adults and adolescents ≥16 years: Apply one plaster to the affected area every 12 hours (maximum two plasters per 24 hours), replacing with a fresh plaster morning and evening as needed.
- Duration of use: Short-term use only. For soft-tissue injuries, use for up to 7 days unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional.
If pain or swelling worsens or does not improve, seek medical advice.

Warnings & precautions
- Allergy: Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs, or to any plaster components.
- Skin integrity: Apply only to intact, unbroken, non-infected skin. Do not use under occlusive (airtight) dressings unless advised by a clinician.
- Age: Not usually recommended under 16 years unless a healthcare professional advises.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy. In early pregnancy or while breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional before use.
- Drug interactions: Use caution if you are taking other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen) or anticoagulants; ask a pharmacist or doctor.
- Medical conditions: Speak to a healthcare professional if you have a history of stomach ulcers/bleeding, kidney, heart, or liver problems, asthma triggered by NSAIDs, or dermatitis.
- External use only: Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, and open wounds. Wash hands after application.
- Sun/heat: Avoid excessive sunlight/UV exposure on the treated area. Remove the plaster before heat therapy. Do not use with other topical diclofenac on the same site.
- Adverse effects: Stop use and seek advice if you experience severe skin irritation, rash, wheezing, swelling of the face/lips/tongue, or sudden shortness of breath.
- MRI/diathermy: Remove the plaster before MRI scans or therapeutic heat treatments.

Storage
- Store in original sachet until use.
- Keep below the temperature stated on pack. Do not freeze.
- Dispose of used plasters safely; fold adhesive sides together before discarding.
