Voltarol Medicated Plaster 140mg — 5 Plasters

Targeted, cooling medicated plasters with diclofenac for relief of localized pain and inflammation associated with minor sprains, strains, and soft-tissue injuries.

Pack size: 5 plasters Active: Diclofenac Strength: 140 mg per plaster

Product overview

Voltarol Medicated Plaster 140mg is a drug-in-adhesive patch that delivers diclofenac directly through the skin to the affected area. The flexible, low-profile design conforms to joints and muscles, providing up to 12 hours of continuous local delivery per plaster.

Why you’ll like it

  • Targeted relief: local delivery at the site of pain and swelling.
  • Stays put: breathable backing designed for comfortable day or night wear.
  • Cooling effect: pleasant feel on application.

Use for

  • Minor sprains and strains
  • Soft-tissue injuries (e.g., muscle pulls)
  • Localized pain and inflammation in limbs and joints

Good to know

  • Water & bathing: Keep the plaster dry for best adhesion. Replace with a fresh plaster if it becomes loose or wet.
  • Driving & machinery: Unlikely to affect ability, but if you feel unwell, do not drive or operate machinery.

How to apply

  1. Clean and dry the affected area (no lotions/creams). If needed, trim excess hair for better adhesion (do not shave immediately before use).
  2. Open the sachet, remove the plaster, and peel off the protective film.
  3. Apply the adhesive side directly over the painful area. Smooth down edges for full contact.
  4. Wash hands after application.
  5. To remove: lift an edge gently and peel away slowly. If residue remains, cleanse with warm water and mild soap.

Plasters are single-use. Do not cut the plaster unless the leaflet explicitly allows it.

Dosage

  • Adults and adolescents ≥16 years: Apply one plaster to the affected area every 12 hours (maximum two plasters per 24 hours), replacing with a fresh plaster morning and evening as needed.
  • Duration of use: Short-term use only. For soft-tissue injuries, use for up to 7 days unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional.

If pain or swelling worsens or does not improve, seek medical advice.
