How it works
Benzydamine is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). It concentrates in the mucosal tissues of the mouth and throat to reduce inflammatory chemicals and numb local pain, giving rapid soothing where it hurts.Pack contents

Dosage & directions
Adults and adolescents (12+ years): Rinse or gargle with 15 ml (about one tablespoon) every 1½ to 3 hours as needed for pain relief. Do not swallow. Spit out after use.
Optional dilution: If you prefer, dilute the 15 ml dose with an equal volume of water.
Children under 12 years: Use only on a pharmacist or doctor’s advice and with adult supervision.
- Measure 15 ml.
- Rinse around the mouth and/or gargle for ~30 seconds.
- Spit out. Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use.
Short-term use only. If symptoms persist, worsen, or do not improve after 3 days, seek medical advice.
Active & other ingredients
- Active: Benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15% w/v.
- Also contains: Ethanol, glycerol, flavourings, sodium saccharin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and other standard excipients; purified water.
Warnings & cautions
- For oral rinsing/gargling only. Do not swallow.
- Allergy: Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the ingredients. Stop use and seek advice if a rash, swelling, wheezing, or severe irritation occurs.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use.
- Children: Keep out of sight and reach. Use in under-12s only on medical advice and with supervision.
- Alcohol content: Contains ethanol; do not use immediately before driving or operating machinery if sensitivity is suspected.
- Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water.
- Medical advice: See a healthcare professional if you have high fever, persistent sore throat (>3 days), recurrent ulcers, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of a more serious infection.
- Drug interactions: Generally low risk as a topical product, but check with a pharmacist if you use other oral topical agents.
How to store
- Store below 25 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and upright.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the bottle.
