Strepsils Honey & Lemon lozenges provide fast-acting relief for sore throats. Each lozenge contains Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg and 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 1.2 mg, antiseptics that help relieve pain and fight the bacteria commonly associated with throat infections.

Directions (quick)

1 lozenge every 2–3 hours as needed (max 12/day). Let it dissolve slowly.

How to Use (Dosage)

Always read the label before use. Do not exceed the stated dose.

  • Adults and children 6 years and over: Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours as needed.
  • Maximum: Do not take more than 12 lozenges in 24 hours.
  • Children under 6 years: Not recommended.
  • Allow each lozenge to dissolve slowly; do not chew or swallow whole.
  • If symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting, seek medical advice.

Ingredients

Active ingredients (per lozenge): Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg; 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 1.2 mg.

Other ingredients include: Sucrose, Glucose Syrup, Tartaric Acid, Menthol, Honey, Lemon Flavour, Colouring agents (may include Caramel), and other excipients.

Warnings & Precautions

  • Allergy alert: Do not use if you are allergic to amylmetacresol, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, or any of the ingredients.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose. Excessive use may cause digestive upset.
  • Diabetics/low-sugar diets: Contains sugars (glucose and sucrose).
  • Children: Not suitable under 6 years due to choking risk.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding: If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional before use.
  • Serious symptoms: If you have a severe sore throat, or symptoms persist for more than 3 days, or are accompanied by fever, rash, persistent headache, or nausea, seek medical advice promptly.
  • Drug interactions: If you are taking other medicines or have underlying medical conditions, ask a pharmacist or doctor before use.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Storage

  • Store below 25 °C in a dry place.
  • Keep in the original packaging to protect from moisture.
