Numark Sleep Aid 50mg One A Night is formulated to help relieve short-term, occasional insomnia such as difficulty drifting off, restless nights, or disrupted sleep due to changes in routine. Each tablet contains 50mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride (a sedating antihistamine) which helps promote natural sleep, so you can wake feeling more rested.

Who Is It For?
This product is intended for short-term use in adults and adolescents over 16 years who experience occasional trouble sleeping, such as:
- Difficulty getting to sleep.
- Restless or poor-quality sleep.
- Temporary sleep disruption (e.g. travel, stress, routine changes).
It is not for long-term insomnia or chronic sleep problems. If your symptoms persist for more than a few days, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
How It Works
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine with sedative properties. It helps to reduce alertness and encourage drowsiness, making it easier to drop off to sleep.
Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.
Dosage
Adults and children 16 years and over:
- Take 1 tablet with water, 20 minutes before going to bed.
- Do not take more than 1 tablet in 24 hours.
- Use for short-term relief only (a few days). If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Children under 16 years: not recommended.
Elderly: consult your doctor or pharmacist before use – you may be more sensitive to side effects such as drowsiness or confusion.
Warnings & Precautions
- For short-term, occasional insomnia only. Do not use for more than a few consecutive nights without medical advice.
- May cause drowsiness the next day. If affected, do not drive, cycle, or operate machinery.
- Alcohol increases drowsiness. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.
- Do not take with other medicines that cause drowsiness (e.g. other sleep aids, sedating antihistamines, some cold & flu medicines) unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have:
- Asthma, bronchitis or other breathing problems
- Liver or kidney problems
- Glaucoma
- Prostate problems or difficulty urinating
- Myasthenia gravis
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: speak to a doctor or pharmacist before using. Sedating antihistamines are not always recommended.
- Allergies: do not take if you are allergic to diphenhydramine or any of the ingredients.
- If you feel unusually sleepy, confused, or notice any side effects, stop taking the tablets and seek medical advice.
Possible Side Effects
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These can include:
- Drowsiness / sleepiness (can last into the next day)
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness or headache
- Blurred vision
- Upset stomach
If you experience severe or worrying side effects (such as difficulty breathing, severe rash, confusion, or palpitations), seek medical help immediately.
Storage
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
