Dosage & directions

• Adults and children 12+: Chew or suck 2 tablets as required, preferably 1 hour after meals and before bedtime.
• For heartburn, an additional 2 tablets may be taken between these times if needed.
• Maximum: Do not take more than 10 tablets in 24 hours.
• Under 12 years: Not recommended.
• Duration: Do not use for more than 14 days without medical advice.
• Chew or allow to dissolve in the mouth before swallowing. Avoid taking with large amounts of milk or dairy products.

Warnings & precautions

• Do not use if you have severe kidney disease, high calcium levels, low phosphate levels, kidney stones, or if you are allergic to any ingredients.
• Talk to your doctor/pharmacist before use if you have mild to moderate kidney problems or are on a sodium-restricted diet.
• Pregnancy & breastfeeding: May be used as directed. Pregnant individuals should not exceed the maximum daily dose and should avoid excessive milk/dairy intake.
• Drug interactions: Antacids can affect absorption of some medicines (e.g., tetracyclines/quinolones, bisphosphonates, levothyroxine, digoxin, iron, dolutegravir, eltrombopag).
  • Take eltrombopag at least 4 hours apart from Rennie.
  • Take most other affected medicines 1–2 hours apart from Rennie (check your specific medicine).
• Stop and seek advice if symptoms persist, worsen, or if you need treatment for longer than 14 days.
• Long-term high doses may lead to increased blood levels of calcium/magnesium; risk is higher in kidney problems.
• Contains glucose and sucrose; may be harmful to teeth. Essentially sodium-free (<23 mg sodium per tablet).

Ingredients

Active: Calcium carbonate 680 mg, Heavy magnesium carbonate 80 mg (per tablet).

Also contains: Sucrose, glucose, peppermint flavour, talc, povidone, saccharin sodium, magnesium stearate.

Storage

Store below 25°C in the original packaging. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
