How to Take (Dosage)
Adults and older adults: Chew one tablet twice daily (morning and evening), or as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Chew the tablet thoroughly or allow it to dissolve in the mouth.
- Children: Not generally recommended unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Can be used if advised by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it’s almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose.
How to Use With Other Medicines
Calcium can affect the absorption of some medicines. To reduce interaction risk, take Adcal D3 at a different time from the following (usually by at least 2–4 hours):
- Thyroid hormones (e.g., levothyroxine)
- Certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines, quinolones)
- Iron, zinc, or magnesium supplements; bisphosphonates
- Thiazide diuretics and some heart medicines—seek advice before use

Warnings & Precautions
- Do not take if you have high blood calcium (hypercalcaemia), severe kidney problems, calcium-containing kidney stones, or vitamin D toxicity—unless specifically advised by a clinician.
- Talk to your doctor before use if you have sarcoidosis, hyperparathyroidism, a history of kidney stones, or are on long-term immobilisation.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if you develop signs of high calcium (e.g., nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, thirst, frequent urination, confusion).
