Ashton & Parsons Infant Teething Powder is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the symptomatic relief of teething pain and associated symptoms, including sore or tender gums, flushed cheeks and dribbling. Its use is based exclusively on long-standing use as a traditional herbal remedy.
Each convenient, individually packaged sachet contains tincture of matricaria and is designed for oral use in teething infants aged 3 months and over.

Dosage and Directions
Ensure the infant is held in a sitting or upright position. Place the powder slowly onto the front of the infant’s tongue, a little at a time, and allow it to dissolve fully.
Infants aged 3 to 6 months: Using a teaspoon, give half the contents of one sachet in the morning and the remaining half in the evening. Empty half of the powder onto the teaspoon and retain the other half inside the sachet until the evening dose.
Infants over 6 months: Give one sachet in the morning and one sachet in the evening.
Additional dosing: When the infant is very restless, the appropriate dose may be repeated every 1, 2 or 3 hours as necessary until symptoms improve.
Do not give more than 6 doses within 24 hours.
Do not exceed the stated dose. Consult a doctor or qualified healthcare professional if symptoms worsen or continue after 7 days.
Warnings and Precautions
- Not recommended for infants under 3 months old.
- For use in teething infants only.
- For oral and short-term use only.
- Do not use if the infant is allergic to tincture of matricaria, lactose or plants belonging to the Asteraceae/Compositae family, including daisies, marigolds and artichokes.
- Matricaria may cause an allergic reaction or worsen existing symptoms in children susceptible to allergic conditions, including asthma.
- This medicine contains lactose. Consult a doctor before use if the infant has been diagnosed with an intolerance to certain sugars.
- Stop use and speak to a doctor or pharmacist if the infant experiences an allergic reaction, rash, tongue sores or any other side effect.
- Giving more than the recommended amount may cause diarrhoea due to excessive lactose intake.
- Do not use if the sachet seals are damaged or broken.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Always read the label and enclosed patient information leaflet before use.
Ingredients
Each sachet contains powder impregnated with 0.002 ml tincture of matricaria, derived from Matricaria recutita L. flower.
Other ingredient: Lactose.
Extraction solvent: Ethanol 70% v/v.
Storage Information
Store below 25°C. Keep the sachets in their original packaging and do not use after the expiry date printed on the sachet or carton.
