Dosage & directions

• Adults (16–60 years): Insert one pessary high into the vagina, preferably at night before bed.
• If symptoms persist beyond 7 days or return within 2 months, seek medical advice.
• During treatment: Avoid sexual intercourse to help the medicine work and to prevent passing thrush back and forth.
• If using an applicator, follow the leaflet for safe insertion and disposal.

Do not use more than directed. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

Warnings & precautions

• Do not use if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the ingredients.
• Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before use if:
  • this is your first episode of thrush, or you have recurrent episodes (≥2 in 6 months);
  • you are pregnant, trying for a baby, or breast-feeding (use only on medical advice; applicators are usually not recommended in pregnancy);
  • you are under 16 or over 60 years old;
  • you have abnormal or foul-smelling discharge, fever, pelvic pain, sores, blistering, blood-stained discharge, or new or unusual symptoms.
• Latex warning: Clotrimazole can damage latex condoms and diaphragms. Their effectiveness may be reduced during treatment and for up to 5 days after use.
• Do not use during your period. Start after menstruation has finished.
• Possible side effects: local irritation, burning, itching, or redness. Stop use and seek advice if severe or if you develop a rash or swelling.
• Drug interactions: Check with a pharmacist if you are using other vaginal products or medicines.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

How to store

• Store in a cool, dry place below 25 °C.
• Do not use after the expiry date on the pack.
