Balance Activ Vaginal Gel is a convenient treatment designed to help relieve the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis (BV), including unpleasant vaginal odour and abnormal discharge. The gel works by helping to restore and maintain the vagina's natural pH balance, creating conditions that support beneficial bacteria.
Each pack contains 7 hygienic, single-use 5ml tubes, providing a complete 7-day course. The formulation contains lactic acid to help restore the natural acidic environment of the vagina, together with glycogen to support the growth of beneficial lactobacilli.
Balance Activ Vaginal Gel is easy to apply and is best used at bedtime. Some leakage may occur after application, so the use of a panty liner may be helpful.
Dosage and Directions
For the treatment of bacterial vaginosis, use one 5ml tube once daily for 7 consecutive days, preferably before bedtime.
Wash your hands before use. Twist off the cap of the single-use tube and gently insert the neck of the tube into the vagina. Squeeze the tube to release all of the gel, then withdraw the tube while continuing to squeeze. Dispose of the tube after use.
Always follow the instructions provided with the product. If symptoms persist, worsen or repeatedly return, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings
For vaginal use only. Do not use the product if the tube or seal is damaged or if the product has passed its expiry date. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Balance Activ Vaginal Gel contains glycogen derived from shellfish (oysters). Do not use if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, experiencing vaginal bleeding, pain, fever or unusual symptoms, or are unsure whether your symptoms are caused by bacterial vaginosis, speak to a healthcare professional before use.
A mild temporary stinging sensation may occur, particularly if the vaginal tissue is irritated. Stop using the product and seek medical advice if significant irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
