What it is

Benzydamine Hydrochloride 0.15% w/v oromucosal spray is a fast-acting, locally acting anti-inflammatory and analgesic for the relief of pain and irritation in the mouth and throat.

Targets sore throat, mouth ulcers, teething irritation, and post-dental procedures.
Soothes pain and reduces swelling at the site of discomfort.
Suitable for targeted application.

How it works

Benzydamine is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). When sprayed onto the affected area, it penetrates the mucosa to help reduce inflammation and provides local pain relief without significant systemic absorption.

Directions & Dosage

Always use exactly as directed on the label or by a pharmacist/doctor.

Adults and children ≥ 12 years: Spray 4 to 8 puffs onto the sore area every 1.5–3 hours as needed.
Children 6–11 years: Use under adult supervision. Typically 1 to 4 puffs every 1.5–3 hours as needed.
Children under 6 years Use under adult supervison. Spray 1 puff for every 4 kilograms of body weight, up to a maximum of 4 puffs to the sore area every 1.5–3 hours.
Maximum duration: If symptoms persist, worsen, or do not improve after 7 days, seek medical advice.

How to use

Rotate the nozzle and point it towards the affected area of the mouth or throat.
Press down firmly to deliver one measured puff. Do not inhale while spraying.
Avoid eating or drinking for a few minutes to allow the spray to act locally.

Benzydamine Hydrochloride 0.15% w/v (1.5 mg/ml).

Warnings & Precautions

Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the ingredients.
For oromucosal use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not inhale the spray.

Pregnancy & breast-feeding: Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Children: Use with adult supervision; keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Medical advice: Seek urgent advice if you have a high fever, difficulty breathing, a rash, persistent severe sore throat, or symptoms lasting > 7 days.
