Overview
Daktarin Gold 2% w/w Cream is an antifungal treatment that helps relieve itching, irritation and scaling caused by fungal skin infections such as tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tinea cruris (jock itch) and ringworm. Each gram contains ketoconazole 20 mg (2% w/w).Who it’s for

What it does
- Stops fungal growth and helps clear infection.
- Soothes symptoms like itching and redness.

15 g tube.How to use (Dosage)
- Wash and thoroughly dry the affected skin, especially between toes and skin folds.
- Apply a thin layer once or twice daily to the affected area and a small margin of surrounding skin.
- Continue treatment:
- Athlete’s foot: typically 4–6 weeks, even if symptoms improve sooner.
- Other fungal rashes (e.g., jock itch/ringworm): usually 2–4 weeks, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Wash hands before and after use to help prevent spreading the infection.
Always read the leaflet and use exactly as directed. Do not exceed the recommended frequency.
Active & other ingredients
Active: Ketoconazole 2% w/w.
Also contains: propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, polysorbate 80, isopropyl myristate, sodium sulphite (E221), purified water.
Warnings & precautions
- For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or broken skin. If contact occurs, rinse with water.
- Allergies: Do not use if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any ingredients in the cream.
- Skin irritation: Stop using and seek advice if severe irritation, rash, blistering, or swelling occurs.
- Propylene glycol/sulphites: may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some people.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Generally considered low risk when used as directed on small skin areas; seek advice if unsure.
- Persistence/recurrence: If symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks, or return soon after finishing, consult a pharmacist or doctor.
- Hygiene tips: Keep skin clean and dry; change socks/underwear daily; do not share towels; treat shoes/socks to reduce reinfection.
- Accidental swallowing: Seek medical advice promptly and show the product pack/leaflet.
Storage
- Store below 25 °C and keep the tube tightly closed.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
