Warnings & precautions

• Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products or other cough/cold medicines, including products containing antihistamines.
• Avoid alcohol—this product contains alcohol and may increase drowsiness and other side effects.
• May cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
• Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol, promethazine, or dextromethorphan.
• Do not use if you have hepatic or renal impairment, or if you are at risk of respiratory failure (e.g. an asthma attack or severe COPD exacerbation), unless a doctor advises otherwise.
• Do not use if you are taking or have taken an MAOI in the last 14 days, or if you are on certain antidepressants such as SSRIs—risk of serotonin syndrome.
• Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before use if you have epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention, prostate problems, cardiovascular issues, chronic cough with excessive mucus, or liver disease.
• Some people metabolise dextromethorphan slowly (CYP2D6); effects may be stronger or longer-lasting. Check important drug interactions (e.g., with CYP2D6 inhibitors, CNS depressants, flucloxacillin).
• If symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by high fever or rash, seek medical advice.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Immediate medical advice is needed in overdose—even if you feel well—because paracetamol overdose can cause delayed, serious liver damage.
