What it’s for

Combogesic Double Action provides short-term relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache and migraine, dental pain, backache, muscular pain, period pain, and the aches and pains of colds & flu. It also reduces fever and inflammation.

How it works

The fixed combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen targets pain through two complementary mechanisms—paracetamol for analgesia/antipyresis and ibuprofen (an NSAID) for anti-inflammatory action—delivering effective multi-modal relief in a single tablet.

Containins a total of 16 film-coated tablets.

Dosage

Adults (18+): Take 1–2 tablets every 6 hours as required.
Maximum: Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours (equals paracetamol 3000 mg + ibuprofen 900 mg).
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. If symptoms persist, worsen, or are needed for more than 3 days, seek medical advice.
Swallow with water. Take with food if you experience stomach upset.
Not suitable for those under 18 years.

Do not use if

You are allergic to paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs.
You have (or have had) a stomach/duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, severe heart failure, severe kidney or liver disease.
You are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before use if

You have asthma, high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver problems, or stomach/bowel disorders.
You take other medicines, especially: anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), other NSAIDs or aspirin, corticosteroids, SSRIs, antihypertensives or diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, ciclosporin, or flucloxacillin (rare risk of metabolic acidosis when combined with paracetamol).
You drink alcohol, are elderly, are pregnant (outside the last trimester) or breastfeeding—use only on medical advice.

Warnings & possible side effects

Do not take with any other paracetamol- or ibuprofen-containing products.
Stop and seek urgent medical help if you notice allergic reactions (wheezing, swelling, rash), severe skin reactions (blistering, peeling), signs of GI bleeding (black stools, blood in vomit), or symptoms of heart attack or stroke (chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, weakness on one side, slurred speech).
Overdose warning (paracetamol): Immediate medical advice is essential—even if you feel well—because serious delayed liver damage may occur.
