Overview
Opticrom Hayfever Eye Drops are anti-allergy eye drops specially formulated to relieve itching, redness, and watering triggered by pollen, house dust, animal dander, and other allergens. They work by helping to prevent the allergic reaction in the eye rather than just masking symptoms.How it works

FAQs
How quickly will it work? Some relief may be felt soon after dosing; full benefit builds with regular use over several days during exposure to allergens. Can I use other eye products? Directions
Before you use
- Wash hands and, if worn, remove contact lenses.
- Tilt head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
Applying the drops
- Hold the bottle above the eye and instil the recommended number of drops (see Dosage below).
- Close the eye and press the inner corner (by the nose) for 1 minute.
- Repeat in the other eye if needed. Replace cap tightly.
Dosage
Adults and children 6+ years: Instil 1–2 drops in each affected eye, 4 times daily (approximately morning, midday, late afternoon, and evening).
- Use regularly during the allergy season for best control.
- If symptoms are severe or persist after 2 days of regular use, seek medical advice.
- Do not exceed 4 applications per day unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Ingredients
Active: Sodium cromoglicate 2% w/v.
Also contains: Purified water and other excipients. Many formulations contain a preservative such as benzalkonium chloride.

Warnings & precautions
- For ocular use only. Do not ingest.
- Contact lenses: Do not wear soft lenses while using the drops. If advised to wear lenses, remove them before dosing and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
- If you experience pain, changes in vision, intense redness, or your symptoms worsen, stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not use if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the ingredients.
- Pregnancy/breast-feeding: Ask a healthcare professional before use.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface (including the eye) to prevent contamination.
- Discard 4 weeks after first opening, even if solution remains, unless the leaflet states otherwise.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Possible side effects
Temporary stinging, mild irritation, or blurred vision may occur after application. If side effects are severe,
persistent, or you notice signs of infection (e.g., discharge, swelling, light sensitivity), seek medical advice promptly.
Storage
- Store below 25°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
