CosmoCol® Orange is a gentle osmotic laxative that softens stools and supports a more comfortable bowel movement. Macrogol draws water into the bowel to hydrate and soften hard, dry stools, making them easier to pass. The added electrolytes help reduce the risk of dehydration or significant electrolyte shifts during treatment.What’s in the box

Always follow the instructions on your specific pack or the advice from your healthcare professional.
- Adults (including older people): Typically 1 sachet dissolved in ~125 ml of water, 1–3 times daily as needed for constipation.
- Preparation: Empty the sachet into a glass, add water (about half a mug), stir until the powder is fully dissolved, then drink.
- Timing: You may take doses spread across the day. Effects usually occur within 24–48 hours.
- Duration: Use for the shortest time necessary. If symptoms persist beyond 14 days (or as directed), consult a healthcare professional.
- Faecal impaction: This requires medical assessment. Follow a doctor’s specific dosing schedule.
Do not exceed the maximum dose stated on your package leaflet unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Warnings & Safety
- Do not use if you have a known intestinal blockage (obstruction), perforation, severe inflammatory bowel disease, toxic megacolon, or allergy to any ingredient.
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have persistent abdominal pain, sudden change in bowel habits lasting >2 weeks, severe dehydration, heart or kidney disease, or if you are on a controlled sodium or potassium diet.
- Drug interactions: Separate other oral medicines by at least 2 hours where possible, as laxatives can affect absorption.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Generally considered acceptable when clinically needed, but seek medical advice first.
- Side effects: Bloating, wind, stomach rumbling, nausea, or mild diarrhoea can occur; reduce the dose if stools become loose. Stop and seek advice if you experience severe pain, persistent diarrhoea, or signs of allergy (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty).
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Storage
- Store below 25°C in the original packaging.
