Motusol Diclofenac Gel 1.16% is a fast-absorbing, non-greasy topical NSAID formulated to relieve
pain and reduce inflammation associated with sprains, strains, bruises, soft-tissue injuries, and localised rheumatic/arthritic pain.
The cooling gel base helps the active ingredient penetrate the skin directly at the site of discomfort.

How to Use & Dosage
Adults and adolescents ≥14 years:
- Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area and gently massage until absorbed.
- Use 3 to 4 times daily as needed. Do not exceed 4 applications in 24 hours.
- Typical amount per application is approximately 2–4 g (about a 4–8 cm ribbon of gel), depending on the size of the area.
- Duration: For soft-tissue injuries, use for up to 7–14 days. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
Directions: For external use only. Wash hands after use (unless treating the hands). Allow the gel to dry before covering with clothing. Do not use with occlusive (airtight) dressings.
Children under 14 years: Not recommended unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Warnings & Precautions
- Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any of the ingredients.
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, inside the nose, genitals, or broken/eczema-affected skin. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do not apply to large areas of skin or on open wounds. Do not cover with airtight dressings.
- Pregnancy: Do not use in the last 3 months of pregnancy. In earlier pregnancy, use only on medical advice.
- Breast-feeding: Consult a healthcare professional before use; avoid applying to the breasts or large areas for prolonged periods.
- Asthma/Allergy risk: Use with caution if you have asthma or a history of NSAID-induced wheeze, rash, or rhinitis; discontinue if you develop these symptoms.
- Drug interactions: Although systemic absorption is low, speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you take other NSAIDs, anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), antiplatelets, or lithium.
- Sun exposure: Minimise sun/UV exposure on treated areas to reduce the risk of photosensitivity.
- Stop use and seek medical advice if you experience skin irritation, rash, swelling, or if pain and swelling do not improve within 7 days.
- Keep out of reach of children.
